Club History
The Constituent Assembly of the Diplomatic Club of Belgium was held on September 27, 1988.
The Diplomatic Club of Belgium was created with the agreement and approval of H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium and H.E. Most Reverend Monsignor the Apostolic Nuncio, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps of Belgium.
Mr. René Boissin, former diplomat, founder together with Mr. Léon F. Wegnez of the Diplomatic Gazette, was the founding President of the Club until August 23, 2010, date of his death.
The General Assembly of October 29, 2010 elected H.E. Mr. Daniel Leroy, Honorary Ambassador of Belgium, President of the Diplomatic Club,.
During the General Assembly of June 23, 2016, H.E. Ambassador Christine Stevens was appointed President of the Diplomatic Club of Belgium for a first term of 3 years.
During its General Assembly of 2017, the Diplomatic Club of Belgium brought to its presidency H.E. Ambassador Pascal H. Grégoire.
